Our recent feature on CBS News Boston with news anchor Anna Meiler was one of those moments that can only be described as grace.
Anna stumbled across CrownBox Gifts — not through a pitch deck, not through a PR agency, but organically. And in honor of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, she chose to highlight our small business and the heart behind what we do.
To say we’re grateful would be an understatement.
CrownBox was born out of a season when connection felt distant and representation felt limited. We created what we couldn’t find — gift boxes that speak to Black women with intention, softness, and pride, while welcoming women of all cultures who believe in meaningful gifting.
To share that story on a platform like CBS News Boston — during a month that honors both our history and our womanhood — felt bigger than business. It felt like purpose being amplified.
And it is not lost on us that this feature aired on the final day of Black History Month, as we walked directly into Women’s History Month. That timing felt sacred. A bridge between honoring where we’ve been and celebrating who we are becoming. A reminder that our stories do not end on February 28th — they continue, evolve, and expand.
This feature wasn’t just visibility.
It was validation.
Validation that small businesses matter.
Validation that representation matters.
